Solar Carport Wertheim (Schme erlingsdesign)
Bu erfly solar carport in Wertheim – PV meets e-mobility in ght spaces
For our customer Greenion we engineered, fabricated and installed a bu erfly-design solar carport for Volksbank in Wertheim. The roof
is carried by bu erfly beams nearly 12 metres long, supported by massive HEB 550 columns. The columns are seated in client-provided
socket founda ons – a neat setup that enables fast installa on and clear load transfer.
With around 200 m² of PV area, the canopy doubles the value of the parking lot: power genera on on top, parking below –
complemented by integrated charging sta ons. The site condi ons, however, were demanding: very ght space, large components and
heavy individual pieces. Success depends on a sequence where every li is right – from delivery and posi oning to final bol ng.
Manufacturing took place in Ramec 1. The result is a carport that delivers energy and makes a strong architectural statement: a slim,
technical structure with a clear profile – and another step toward on-site charging infrastructure and decentralized PV genera on.
The bu erfly profile is more than eye-catching: it provides clear drainage lines and a defined roof geometry for PV layout. In detailing we
designed the connec ons to keep installa on and future maintenance of the equipment under the canopy straigh orward. A small
project in tonnage – but one where every detail ma ers. It’s a compact solu on that combines renewable genera on and everyday
mobility needs in one elegant steel silhoue e
